A 43-year-old Bengaluru man — who claimed he was being remote controlled — rammed a rented car into the gate of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s residence in the national capital on Wednesday morning, sending security agencies scrambling.
The man, who police say is mentally disturbed, was nabbed by security personnel after the incident. Security was also stepped up outside Doval’s Tughlak Road residence, with the police checking all vehicles.
A senior police officer said they came to know about the matter at around 7.35 am. “Local police and a team of special cell immediately rushed to the spot. He was picked up and taken to the Special Cell’s office in Lodhi Colony.”
