Rumours of Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediurappa resigning have been doing the rounds lately after several state Bharatiya Janata Party leaders publicly expressed their displeasure over the internal functioning of the government.

While the CM himself has appealed to people to maintain law and order in wake of the developments, several seers from the Lingayat community have publicly endorsed his chief ministership.

On Wednesday, several pontiffs made a beeline at Yediyurappa’s residence to throw their weight behind him amid speculations of his exit.
