Maharashtra: Supreme Court orders floor test tomorrow by open ballot

The Supreme Court is expected to pass its judgment on the plea filed by the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress combine seeking an immediate floor test in Maharashtra on Tuesday at 10:30 am.

The month-long political impasse in Maharashtra took a dramatic turn on Saturday when Devendra Fadnavis returned as chief minister of Maharashtra for the second term and was administered oath of office in a hushed up ceremony early morning. The major twist was that of NCP leader Ajit Pawar taking oath as the deputy chief minister at the Raj Bhavan along with Fadnavis.
