FedEx Express employees loaded a cargo jet bound for the Bahamas on Monday with supplies for those dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian.
FedEx loaded the Boeing 757 cargo jet with more than 56,000 pounds of supplies, including medicine, medical supplies, hygiene kits and water treatment systems, according to the Memphis logistics giant. The International Medical Corps’ mobile health facility is also on board.
The shipment has “a lot of necessary materials we’re able to move into that area using the expertise of our team members and our massive logistics network,” said Bonny Harrison, FedEx’s director of global media relations.
