If your travel plans take you to San Francisco this month, you’ll need to build in extra time.

The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) closed one of its major runways for repairs Saturday, causing hundreds of flight delays and cancellations. And the disruptions won’t end anytime soon: The runway isn’t expected to reopen until Sept. 27.

Though some of the disruption may have been caused by other factors, such as weather elsewhere in the country, 109 flights were canceled Saturday and 274 delayed, according to flight tracking service FlightAware. By 8:15 p.m. EDT Sunday: 131 flights into and out of SFO had been canceled and 328 delayed.
